They call the NFL a “passing league” for a reason, and Week 8 did not venture far off from this sentiment. While most fans turned their eyes to a Giants-Saints game that yielded over 1,000 yards of offense and 13 total touchdowns, some were reaping the benefits of this abundance of offense in PickChamps contests.
In our “Everybody Wins” NFL contest, user Josh Reynolds came out as the glorious victor. Much to the chagrin of Lions fans, Reynolds rode the Chiefs offensive explosion to make his way to the top of the leaderboards. Selecting separate picks that Travis Kelce, Jeremy Maclin, and Charcandrick West would all find the end zone at least once returned plenty of points to Reynolds. This was a Kansas City squad that had been averaging under 2 offensive touchdowns per game going into it, so Reynolds clearly hit on a big calculated risk.
Our Multi-Sport star this past Sunday was user CoDx26, who took home money in one of our first ever cash contests of this variety. CoDx26 made some strong picks involving both Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews and Denver Nuggets SG Will Barton. In case you’re wondering how this is even possible (we know it sounds wild), be sure to read up on our Multi-Sport contests and be on the lookout for them in coming weeks.
With the NFL reaching its halfway point and the NBA finally underway, PickChamps contests continue to grow more innovative and exciting. Check back at our lobby this week as we continue to take DFS to a whole new level.
