WEEK 10: Bold Predictions

At PickChamps, the possibilities are truly endless in terms of the picks that you make. You can play it safe with multiple easy picks, or you can take risks in order to really cash in on big offers. If you want to take first place in a contest, it’s wiser to go out on a limb with at least a portion of your predictions.

Here are some super bold predictions that could potentially pay off huge if you picked them on PickChamps:

Tom Brady Will Record 400+ Passing Yards vs. the New York Giants

The New York Giants defense seems easier to carve than a Thanksgiving turkey. The Giants are allowing an average 308 yards per game, second worst in the NFL behind only the Raiders. Brady’s 338.7 passing yards per game average puts him on pace to narrowly miss the NFL’s single-season record for passing yards in a season. He could certainly help his cause this week considering the golden matchup. New England’s secondary is nothing special, so an Eli-Brady shootout here could send Tom’s numbers sky high in this matchup.

Antonio Brown Will Record 150+ Receiving Yards vs. the Cleveland Browns

This may not be considered the riskiest call, considering Brown is coming off an absurd 284-yard game. However, picking anyone for this many yards will always elicit a sizeable offer. Aside from pure statistical momentum, Brown has a very nice looking matchup against Cleveland this week. The Browns rank 2nd worst in the league, having allowed 9 receptions of 40+ yards or more. Brown sits alone atop the the NFL’s leaders in that 40+ yard reception category, with an incredible 6. It’s reasonable to believe he will break off quite a few large gains this coming week. Brown has never had a problem with Cleveland, as he racked up at least 116 yards in both of his meetings with them last season. Look for him to take that one step further this Sunday.

Eddie Lacy Will Record 2+ Rushing TDs vs. the Detroit Lions

Eddie Lacy is not a player that the fantasy community has been leaning on this season, as his numbers have made him look like the second-coming of fellow Alabama alum, Trent Richardson. However, the matchup just looks right, as the Packers look to end a two game skid this weekend at home against the Lions. No team has allowed more rushing scores than Detroit, as they’re allowing opponents score close to two touchdowns per game on the ground. Coach Mike McCarthy still seems dedicated to Lacy as his feature back, and things could go well here considering the strong matchup. Making this pick would be a nail-biter, but they don’t call it a “bold prediction” for nothing.
